Meet Audrey

Hi there! My name is Audrey Farber (pronouns she/her) and I am a PACFA registered clinical counsellor (PACFA Reg. Clinical 31121) in Sydney, Australia.

I built this practice to help people heal their relationship with their bodies and tune into their own wisdom instead of getting swept away by the ever present diet culture in our society.

Throughout my career, I have witnessed how life stressors and transitions (like having a baby, going through a break up etc.) can reactivate a hyperfocus on food, size, and weight for many people who have struggled with a disordered relationship with food and their bodies.

Instead of trying to shrink and conform with diet culture, I am here to help you find peace with your body no matter what life throws your way!

A few things about me:

  • I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington USA. I have been living in Australia since 2024.

  • I hold a Master’s degree in professional mental health counselling and have been practising as a therapist for over 7 years.

  • My undergraduate degree is in Philosophy and I am always happy to integrate this knowledge into my counselling work.

  • I am currently training with the Center for Body Trust to become a certified Body Trust ® Provider.

  • I find joy in small, quiet moments — discovering unexpected poetry on library shelves, enjoying warm raisin bread fresh from the toaster, and settling into restorative yoga.

If you are thinking about starting (or restarting!) your journey towards body acceptance and reducing the frequency of bad body image days, please do not hesitate to reach out to me!
